This Technical Service Specialist Position will focus on our Laboratory (GPC) Market segment.
Description:
The GPC Specialist will provide technical support, customer training and laboratory application research to support the newly introduced EcoSEC GPC instrument by interacting with the field service engineers, sales and marketing teams on a regular basis.
Duties:
- Providing routine technical support for the EcoSEC GPC instrument(application recommendations, column selection advice and instrument related troubleshooting)
- Provide laboratory application support using customers’ samples to increase instrument sales
- Present application research at customer sites to support GPC sales and marketing
- Support marketing at trade-shows
- Assist the field service engineers with training during initial installations of the instrument
Qualifications:
- B.S. degree in chemistry, polymer chemistry, analytical chemistry or chemical engineering
- M.S. in same fields would be desirable
- Minimum 5 years experience in GPC analysis
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Good written communication skills
- Must be able to work independently, however, function as part of a dynamic team
- Must be willing to occasionally travel (<10%) domestically.
