- Analysis of Methyl Methacrylate Monomer in Acrylic Denture Base Resin (TIS115)
Following the residual monomer analysis specified in the Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS) T6501 for GPC and HPLC, residual methacrylate monomers were measured.
- Analysis of Aminoglycoside Antibiotics by LC-MS (TIS116)
HPLC is used to measure concentrations of glycoside antibiotics containing amino sugars in blood and foods by reverse phase chromatography using an ion-pair reagent.
- Analysis of Microcystins by LC/MS (TIS117)
The levels of microcystins LR, RR and YR were measured by LC/MS as a drinking water test method.
- Simultaneous Analysis of Sulfa Drugs (TIS118)
Different sulfa drugs were simultaneously analyzed using formic acid and methanol as a mobile phase.
- High-Sensitivity Concurrent Determination of Omeprazole and its Two Metabolites in Human Plasma by Column-Switching High Performance Liquid Chromatography (TIS119)
The plasma levels of omeprazole, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI), and its metabolites were concurrently determined using TSKgel ODS-100Z 5µm.
- Concurrent Analysis of Sulfa Drugs by LC/MS (TIS120)
Sixteen sulfa drugs and trimethoprim, a synthetic antibacterial agent often coadministered with sulfa drugs, were measured using an MS detector.
- Simultaneous Analytical Method I for Agricultural Chemicals using LC/MS (Agricultural Products) (TIS121)
Forty two components in agricultural chemicals underwent simultaneous analyses using TSKgel ODS-100V 3μm.
- Analysis of Malachite Green and Leucomalachite Green by LC/MS (TIS122)
Malachite Green and its metabolite Leucomalachite were simultaneously analyzed using a solvent with an acid composition, according to LC/MS procedures as regulated by the Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare.

By optimizing conditions using the TSKgel Amide-80 3 µm as the separating column, good separation/identification of a sugar chain derivatized with 2-aminobenzoic acid was achieved.

Analysis of an added sample of the microbial chloramphenicol in honey was conducted by LC/MS.
- Analysis of Fungicides in Disposable chopsticks by HPLC (TIS126)
Disposable chopsticks were tested for four fungicides: imazalil (IMZ), which was analyzed individually, and orthophenylphenol (OPP), thiabendazole (TBZ), and diphenyl (DP), which were analyzed simultaneously.

A standard sample of drugs on the Positive List, including 21 components in veterinary drug mixture PL-1-3, were separated using LC-MS/MS.

Trans fatty acids, targeting major trans fatty acid elaidic acis (9t-18:1, trans isomer of oleic acid), were analyzed by HPLC after fluorescent derivatization using an ADAM reagent.

Acesulfame-K, a synthetic sweetener, and saccharine were simultaneously analyzed in coffee using a hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC) column.

Methamidophos and acephate were simultaneously analyzed using a simulated sample created by adding standard substances to tea.

Anticancer drug MTX and its metabolite 7-OH-MTX were analyzed using reverse-phase chromatography, while MTX and its polyglutamate metabolites were simultaneously analyzed in a plasma sample using hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC).

A standard sample of simvastatin, used as a drug to treat hyperlipidemia, was separated using HPLC.

The molecular mass of lignin was measured by SEC using a DMSO/DMF mixed solvent with an added acid.
- Analysis of Chromium (III) Picolinate in Supplements by HPLC (TIS138)
Chromium picolinate was analyzed by HPLC in diet supplements.
- Analysis of Cyclodextrins in Instant Food: Application Example using an Evaporative Light Scattering Detector (ELSD) (TIS139)
Three types of cyclodextrins used in Japan were separated using the HILIC mode and detected by ELSD.
- Analysis of Sweetener (Sucralose) in Coffee: Application Example Using an Evaporative Light Scattering Detector (ELSD) (TIS140)
Sucralose in a coffee beverage (sugarless) was analyzed using ELSD detectors in combination with an HILIC column, while synthetic sweeteners aspartame and glycyrrhizic acid were simultaneously analyzed.

Various sugar alcohols were separated using the HILIC in gradient elution and detected by ELSD, while sugar alcohols in sugarless candy and functional jelly beverages were analyzed.

Following the separation of oligosaccharides by HILIC mode, evaporative light scattering was used to detect the sample components.

Fast and reproducible analysis of polyacrylonitrile within 12 minutes with within-day reproducibility of 0.6-1.4% and between-day reproducibility over 3 days of 1%.

A HILIC method for these highly polar substances was used since retention is difficult in the reversed phase mode using a C18 column.
