TSKgel CN-80Ts is an alternative to C18 (ODS) and C8 (Octyl) phases. The cyano group is the least hydrophobic of the 100Å phases available and in some cases is used under normal phase conditions. The chromatograms below show retention and selectivity of TSKgel CN-80Ts for 3 aromatic hydrocarbon compounds.

Bonded phase pore size is indicated by the number in the product description, in this case TSKgel CN-80Ts has 80Å nominal pore size.  The pore size of the base silica is 100Å. 

TSKgel CN-80Ts is useful for the analysis of polar peptides, amino acids, and other pharmaceutical and food & beverage products. As with other 80Ts products, TSKgel CN-80Ts provides reproducible separations of molecules below 6,000 MW.
