Selecting the right QC column:
Toyopearl and TSK-GEL PW bulk resins have the same methacrylic polymer backbone. The TSK-GEL PW resins are more highly crosslinked and come in high performance smaller particle sizes which can tolerate the intrinsically higher operating pressures needed to utilize the more efficient particle sizes.
Certain TSK-GEL laboratory columns have the same selectivity (elution order) as the corresponding Toyopearl and TSK-GEL PW bulk resins.This allows the scale up or scale down of a process as well as an opportunity to use a convenient column for laboratory or QC work.
