Amandaa K. Brewer, Ph.D. GPC Technical Specialist
|
Amandaa K. Brewer, a Florida native, obtained her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Roanoke College, with a minor in Mathematics. She earned her Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from The Florida State University under the direction of Dr. André M. Striegel. Her graduate research focused on employing multi-detector hydrodynamic chromatography with multi-angle static light scattering, quasi-elastic light scattering, differential viscometry and differential refractometry as a method for characterizing particles and ultra-high molar mass polymers. Amandaa joined Tosoh Bioscience LLC in March 2011. Amandaa’s research is focused on developing applications for the EcoSEC GPC System and SEC columns. In her spare time Amandaa enjoys spending time with her family, working out, and going to the beach.

Atis Chakrabarti, Ph.D. Manager, Technical Service Laboratory Products
|
Atis Chakrabarti earned a Ph.D. from North Bengal University, India on the design and synthesis of anti-proliferative probes. His post doctoral research at the Indian Institute of Science focused on the molecular biology and biophysical characterization of bacterial thioredoxin. In 2000, he joined Thomas Jefferson Medical College researching diagnostic and therapeutic probes for PET imaging while utilizing different types of chromatography for the purification of the probes. He is an adjunct faculty member in the department of chemistry at Camden County College, NJ. His most recent position at Apex Pharmaceuticals, NJ included analyzing, by chromatographic techniques, API's for bulk and dosage use. Atis joined Tosoh Bioscience in July 2008. Atis' research is focused on expanding the range of applications of TSKgel columns. In his leisure time Atis enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and camping.

Chinlun Huang Technical Specialist, Process Media
|
Chinlun Huang obtained her bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University, with minors in Biotechnology and Chinese Studies. She later obtained her masters degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Virginia, where her research focused on atom transfer radical polymerization and polymer systems. She has previously worked on metered dose inhalers at GlaxoSmithKline and on vaccine manufacturing support at Merck. Chinlun joined Tosoh Bioscience LLC in August 2010. In addition to developing applications on Toyopearl and TSKgel resins, Chinlun supports customers working on the isolation and purification of biopolymers by all modes of chromatography.

Bruce Kempf Technical Specialist, HPLC Columns
|
Bruce Kempf has over 17 years of pharmaceutical laboratory experience as an analytical scientist. He has a solid background in reversed phase HPLC, methods development and validation and has also worked in new product development, QC, raw materials, and stability. Bruce is involved in providing reverse phase technical service and generating laboratory test data on a wide variety of chromatographic columns. Bruce has a BS in nursing from Gwynedd Mercy College with a minor in Chemistry. When Bruce is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, scuba diving, traveling, R/C Airplanes & helicopters, ham radio & electronics.

R. Christopher Manzari Technical Specialist, Process Media
|
R. Christopher Manzari obtained his bachelor’s degree in Business Management with a minor in Biology from The University of Phoenix and Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. He comes to Tosoh with over ten years experience in protein purification at both large and small scale as well as process transfer and scale-up. After graduation, Chris worked in Downstream Processing for Medarex Inc. and in the Antibody/Antigen Isolation and Analytical Testing lab for Fujirebio Diagnostics in Malvern Pennsylvania. Chris has previously worked on both monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies as well as some antigen purification. Chris joined Tosoh Bioscience in August of 2010 as a Technical Specialist for Process Media. When Chris is not working, he enjoys reading, cooking and riding motorcycles.

J. Kevin O’Donnell, Ph.D. Manager, Technical Service Process Media
|
Kevin O’Donnell obtained his bachelor's degree from The Pennsylvania State University and his doctorate degree from Temple University. After a post doctoral position in the Department of Molecular Genetics at SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals (now GlaxoSmithKline), Kevin moved to DNX where he worked on the expression of human hemoglobins in transgenic animals. For the past fifteen years Kevin has been a member of the Technical Service Department and has assisted customers with a variety of application and production issues ranging from bench top to production scale. Currently Kevin is the Technical Service Manager for the Process Market of Tosoh Bioscience where he leads a talented group of process chromatography technical specialists.

Andre Pressley Technical Specialist, HPLC Columns
|
Andre has worked in the lab for more than twenty years. The first 15 years were at Rohm and Haas Company where he worked as a formulation chemist on several new product development projects. Since 1998 Andre has enjoyed working as a Technical Specialist where he has had the opportunity to assist customer with their HPLC column questions as well as present technical posters at various tradeshows. Andre has a degree in Chemistry from Philadelphia University. When he’s not assisting customers, Andre likes to spend time reading and meditating on the bible, running, and listening to opera.
