Important Change in Amberchrom™ Distribution -- Effective January 1, 2006

Press release from the Tosoh Corporation on October 3, 2005 announces that effective December 31, 2005, the distribution agreement between the Tosoh Corporation and Rohm and Haas Company for the Amberchrom reversed phase chromatography resins will be terminated.

The consequences of this change are as follows:

• Tosoh Bioscience will continue to take orders for Amberchrom products through December 30, 2005.
• Any orders placed in 2005 with Tosoh Bioscience, which cannot be shipped from our warehouse before the end of the year, will be shipped directly by Rohm and Haas in 2006.
• Confidentiality Agreements between customers and Tosoh Bioscience related to the Amberchrom product line will continue to be active until their stated expiration dates. Please review your company's need to enter into a Confidentiality Agreement with the Rohm and Haas Company as of the start of 2006.
