Question:  “What is the difference between the TSK-GEL ODS-100V and TSK-GEL ODS-100Z columns, and which one should I choose for my particular application?”

Answer:     The primary difference between the TSK-GEL ODS-100V and TSK-GEL ODS-100Z columns are the carbon content of the solid support.  The higher carbon content of TSK-GEL ODS-100Z adds additional hydrophobic characteristics beyond those present in TSK-GEL ODS-100V, allowing the TSK-GEL ODS-100Z resin to be more selective toward hydrophobic compounds.  Conversely, the lower carbon content of TSK-GEL ODS-100V makes it more selective toward polar compounds.
