The TSKgel MultiporeHxl-M column is packed with rigid, polymer beads that have a large pore size distribution within each particle, for the analysis of organic-soluble industrial polymers. Multipore linear columns are used when a broad range of polymer molecular weights is expected in the sample. They provide a smoother calibration curve than a mixed-bed linear column. TSKgel MultiporeHxl-M provides high resolution of polymers with a molecular weights from 500 - 2 × 10⁶ Da.

The main characteristics of the TSKgel MultiporeHxl-M column are: ultra-low sample adsorption, i.e., the column shows true size exclusion behavior for most polymers, limited solvent range, and a maximum operating temperature of 80 °C.
 
As the number of solvents that can be exchanged directly with the shipping solvent (THF) of the TSKgel MultiporeHxl-M column is limited, use TSKgel Hhr columns when a broader range of solvents is needed.
